Want to know more?
Part data, part art - Prism aims to create an immersive and emotional graphical experience. It allows you to explore your closest relationships, as well as your relationship with technology, in a way that is both meaningful, and fun.
So why is it that the NSA can see your texting history (ha Ha, Prism! The name is a pun!) but you can't? No more. For the first time, Prism frees your texting data for your OWN purposes. Sure, the data is all about your life, and the conversations you have already lived. Nevertheless, we think you'll be surprised by what you can learn.
But we also understand your privacy. And at the end of the day rest assured that nothing is ever retained or transmitted. That said, you do have the option to export your creations as high quality vector images, should you desire.
And don't worry, you can always save them without the names ;)
Still curious? check out Byron and Wattenberg's StackedGraph paper.
Although it uses texting data, Prism is actually a Mac App. It runs on your computer, not your phone!
In theory Prism should run on OS 10.6+, however there are some known bugs for 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and 10.7 (Lion). Sorry!
